The FM2931 project being built by TxDOT, or Texas Department of Transportation, up in Denton County is a project that we're tracking and can help you with and want to give you more information about. My name is David Todd. I'm an eminent domain attorney in Austin, Texas, and we're helping people with this FM2931 project and wanted to give you some more information.

This is being built by TxDOT, Texas Department of Transportation. The idea here is it's a widening project for a little over six miles of FM2931. The existing FM2931 is a rural two-lane roadway with a right-of-way that they've deemed insufficient. It would be reconstructed as a four-lane urban roadway; ultimately a six-lane section with turn lanes. It would be a right-of-way of about 140 by 153 feet wide. The proposed project is going to affect the town of Providence Village, Little Elm, Aubrey, and Denton; those particular cities. The public meeting was in July of 2020. The right-of-way acquisition is slated to start in the fall of 2021, with construction to happen a year or two later.
