Suit: Company Sold Unapproved Medical Equipment

Suit: Company Sold Unapproved Medical Equipment
A group of Ohio residents have filed a lawsuit against a Georgia company over the sale of unapproved catheters to a local doctor who is the target of several malpractice lawsuits. According to the complaint, Myelotec, Inc., sold video-guided catheters that were not approved by the Food and Drug Administration to be used with lasers. The equipment was used in Ohio in many spinal surgeries, placing patients at risk, the suit claims.  Lou Grieco, Dayton Daily News  01/19/2011
