The Coastal Texas Protection and Restoration Project is a long-term massive project being undertaken in conjunction with the US Army Corps of engineers to provide updated storm protection, particularly related to hurricanes and the storm surge that comes with those to almost the entire Texas coast, based on some storms that have happened over the last years, and the massive damage that the storm surge has caused there is recognized need for this, but it is going to affect a lot of landowners along the coast.

This project may cost up to and beyond $30 billion, and it will be a long-term project, obviously. The land acquisition will start late in 2021, so this year that we're recording this, and will continue for some time, but if you're affected by this, it's important to understand what's happening here. There are multiple counties that you can see on the map that are being affected by this: Orange, Jefferson, Chambers, Harris, Galveston Brazoria, Matagorda County, Jackson, Victoria, Calhoun, Aransas, Refugio, San Patricio, Nueces, Kleberg County, Kennedy Willacy and Cameron counties. All of these counties are going to be affected by this project.

They are in partnership. The US Army Corps of engineers, as I said, is in partnership with the Texas General Land Office to create this project. The idea is to construct coastal storm risk management and eco restoration system using multiple lines of defense along the Texas coast, various Gates for flood control on shipping areas, as well as storm surge, storm walls, and also increasing the size of some of the existing walls in certain areas, such as Galveston. They are going to start a land acquisition, as I said, later this year.
