If you're a landowner who may be affected by the US 380 Loop project that's going to be built by TxDOT, or the Texas Department of Transportation in Collin County, Texas, this information is for you. My name is David Todd. I'm an eminent domain attorney in Austin, Texas, and we're going to be helping and are currently helping landowners in Collin County deal with TxDOT when they're trying to take their property for this US 380 Loop project. What is the project? Well, the plan is to why US 380 from County Road 26 to Loop 288 from five lanes to six lanes on both existing and new alignments. The project will include overpasses at FM 423 Legacy Drive and Teel Parkway. It would widen the existing Highway 380 from Denton County line to Coit Road and incorporate three bypasses off the existing roadway. One will go east of Prosper to west of McKinney. Another bypass will run north of Princeton, and the third will be routed south of Farmersville.
In spring of 2019, the alternative designs were selected for this project, and right away acquisition should be starting in 2021 and on into 2022.
